Resident of the Month: Rhonda

     Rhonda was born in the Marshalltown area of Iowa and attended school in Toledo, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. After graduation, she began working for the Liquor Control Department, where she helped oversee the daily operations of the business.

     Rhonda later married, and together she and her husband welcomed two children, a son and a daughter. Her husband worked for John Deere, and his career eventually brought the family to Cedar Falls, Iowa, where they raised their children.

     Life brought Rhonda both joy and hardship. Tragically, her husband passed away at a young age. After his passing, Rhonda sold their home and began a new chapter in her life. With encouragement from two close friends, she moved to Idaho Springs, Colorado, where she worked in retail and formed many lasting friendships.

Later, more friends encouraged Rhonda to move to Grand Junction, where she has happily lived ever since.

     Rhonda has always had a special love for animals and especially treasured her dog, Samantha Jane, whom she enjoyed taking on long walks. These days, Rhonda enjoys spending her time reading and visiting with friends.

     Rhonda’s kindness, resilience, and warm spirit make her a wonderful choice for Resident of the Month. We are so happy to celebrate her!
